With Steam installed, it is relatively easy to get to the wanted location. Right clicking [Mac users?] on Kerbal Space Program in the Steam library opens a menu. Selecting properties opens a new window. In the tab local files the button browse local files opens the root directory where Kerbal Space Program is installed in the file browser. Default location.
- Hello all, I was wondering. Because fallout 3 sometimes has trouble with mods when its installed in Program files, is it at all possible to install games off steam, to a different location?
- The other PC can access any file, including those in the Program Files folder. It can, for example, run PaintShop Pro across the network, even though it's not installed on that machine.
I recently had to have my computer reset to factory settings in order to reinstall Windows. Luckily, about two days before it crashed I managed to perform a successful back-up using Windows Backup and Restore Centre. After restoring the old data, I have found the files for Dawn of War II (a disc-based game) but I cannot find the save files for Stacking or Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (two games I downloaded off Steam).
Do you have any idea where I might find them so I can transfer them back onto my main hard disk and carry on playing where I left off?
